"
We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... We must do that which we think we cannot. " |

Welcome To Karen's World Of Hope
This site has been developed by Karen Lynn throughout the last thirteen years as an act of love and devotion to help others with Cerebral Palsy, their parents, family and friends. It has been of the utmost importance for Karen to share her life’s story with other disabled individuals, and to let others know that there is hope living a life with Cerebral Palsy. Her life-long experience and challenges with C.P. and Dyslexia have made Karen passionate about sharing her experiences and strengths unconditionally. Karen wants all of you to know that you are not alone no matter what your disability is. She believes with all her heart that she has walked this path for you so that you will not have to walk it alone. She has worked tirelessly to stop this kind of inhumane discrimination. She feels very deeply about this, and would like to see this kind of subtle treatment stopped from ever happening to anyone, ever again.
On the following pages you can read all about Karen's life from the moment she was born though the present. She shares her story with all of you in the hopes that it will give you the encouragement and strength to keep on keeping on. Karen truly believes that she has walked this path to help shield you. She has progressively climbed the ladder of success, regardless of all the remarks, comments, and roadblocks put in her path. She has developed a will of iron because of the adversities she has faced. Her desires now are to empower other people like herself, through her website, her motivational speaking, her book, The Broken Hoof, and, by teaching her fitness classes, and educating others through her advocacy work and mentorship. Karen is on an endless journey towards justice for all. Her continued determination, encouragement, and tenacity are a testimony to her sincere desire to put and end to discrimination and to heal and make right the travesties that happened to her.

Author, Poet, Advocate, and Teacher
Having recently released her first book in 2006, Karen is very proud to bring to her viewer’s attention the ‘… warm and inspiring story about a young disabled girl who finds friendship and companionship in a carrousel horse’. This story demonstrates the daily challenges and achievement of growing up with a disability (Cerebral Palsy). In addition to writing poetry, stories, and books, Karen also provides motivational/inspirational public speaking services as well as adapted fitness programs and instruction specifically developed for disabled individuals looking to work through their challenges and gain confidence, health, and encouragement in the process.
Karen resides in Torrance, CA., and even though many of her clients are located in Southern California, she provides these services not only for people with physical disabilities and for seniors, but also for those individuals who just want to stay fit. Karen not only teaches in Torrance and the nearby beach cities of Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and San Pedro, but she offers her services nationally as well.
